Honey, one of nature’s most valuable gifts, is a unique food bees produce from nectar collected from flowers. However, the taste, quality, and health benefits of honey depend on the botanical characteristics of the plants from which the bees collect nectar. For this reason, we attach particular importance to the botanical origin of each of our honeys. We definitely do not produce mixed honey. We produce all our honeys in different locations. In this way, we preserve the unique taste and character of each honey.
It is indispensable for us to ensure that our consumers have the necessary information when choosing honey. For each of our honeys, we share the pollen variety, pollen count, location information of the region where it was produced and proline values, which indicate the quality and purity values of a honey, separately.
Health Benefits of the Botanical Origin of Chestnut Honey
Proline is one of the natural components found in honey. The basic indicator of the purity and quality of honey is the Proline value. As the Proline level increases, the quality level of honey also increases. A proline level of 180-190 ppm (mg/kg) and above is the first sign of quality and pure honey. The minimum proline level of 400 ppm is the first standard we set for honey. Garisar Chestnut honey has a high proline value of +600 ppm.
Each of our honey varieties is produced in natural areas with unique characteristics that have been carefully selected over the years with experience. Our honey, which is harvested separately in each location, reaches you in its purest form without any different honey mixture. When you taste our single-location honey, where we offer natural aromas in their purest form, you will directly feel the richness of nature and its unique flavor.
